Our Team

It is with great honour that our first introduction to the board of the organization is Ms. Patricia Keith. She defines courage, determination, and leadership. Patricia’s story is an inspiring one for many who would love to change the world and those in need of a push for motivation. She holds many certifications in multiple sectors that are divided into different fields. Her accomplishments have spread the word to the Greater Toronto Area and North Etobicoke.

Patricia Keith

Patricia Keith is the lead Therapist, Family Counsellor, and Director of Counselling at Break Free Family Centre (BFFC). She is also a Clinical Counsellor and member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP), Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA), Bereavement Ontario Network (BON), and Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF). She has demonstrable experience as a Certified Counsellor with over (19) years of practice. She has counselled for Dalton Associates, Anger Management Counselling Services, and crisis intervention and EAP Counsellor for Workplace Options. She is the principal Counsellor for Break Free Family Centre (BFFC), and for Patricia Keith Counselling and Consulting INC., where she specializes in assessment and treatment of Youth, Family, Marriage and Relationship Issues, Substance Abuse and Addiction, Sexual Assault, and Immigration Issues.

She has been working in partnership with the community, TDSB and The TCDSB School, Sheridan College, Humber College, York University, the Canadian Christian College and Social service providers with child and family, parenting issues and with Family Responsibility Office (FRO) issues, family, and youth court issues.

Patricia has worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) and as a medical laboratory Technologist, over the past 20 years. Her long history as a healthcare professional would prove her experience in treatments of depression, anxiety, phobias, emotional, and cognitive, post-traumatic stress disorder behavioral dysfunction and group education gives her self-motivation and diligence, coupled with organizational skills to give treatment to our clients to overcome any crisis.

As a professionally trained counsellor at The Break Free Family Centre, Patricia Keith Counselling and Consulting INC. and an associate of The Canadian Professional Counsellors Associations. She is confident in her ability to contribute both substantially and correctly to the established goals of this practice. In doing so, she is determined to correctly assess clients. Therefore, could cope well in any critical incidents and the ability to work effectively with break free clientele, superiors, and colleagues.

 

Qualifications:
